By using Dencity (the "app", "service") you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
You must be 18 or older to use Dencity. By using it you confirm that you are.
You're responsible for your account and for keeping your login secure. Provide accurate information and don't impersonate others. You can delete your account at any time in Settings.
Unless a place shows a live count from real check-ins, the busyness shown is a typical estimate generated from time-of-day patterns and opening hours — clearly labelled as an estimate. Live counts come only from real user check-ins. Dencity does not guarantee that any figure reflects the actual number of people at a place. Use your own judgement; we're not responsible for decisions you make based on the app.
We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
You keep ownership of what you submit (check-ins, photos, place recommendations, profile). You grant us a licence to host and display it as needed to run the app (e.g. showing your avatar to friends, listing an approved place). Place recommendations are reviewed before appearing.
Any prize competition is governed by its official rules. The influencer/affiliate programme is governed by the affiliate terms.
Place data comes from Google Places and OpenStreetMap and may be incomplete or inaccurate. The app relies on third-party providers (hosting, maps, payments, notifications). We're not responsible for their availability or content.
The service — including all paid features and any prize — is a beta provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We don't guarantee it will be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, fit for any purpose, or that any place information, count or figure is accurate. We may suspend, change or discontinue the beta (in whole or part) at any time without liability.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dencity and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for anything arising from your use of the app or reliance on its information. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law (including under the Consumer Protection Act).
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.
We may update these Terms; we'll change the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use means you accept the changes.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction.
